Candidates were expected:

1. know that a heptagon is seven sided;
2. interprete the ratio 1.6:1 as enlargement;
3. draw the circle diameter;
4. divide the diameter of the circle into 7 equal                                                parts;
5. draw the arcs R70 from both ends of the diameter of the circle to intercept at point N;
6. draw a line from N through 21 to touch the circle at                     S;
7. step RS round the circle to obtain the remaining sides of the heptagon;
8. get the length of the original side to be 30±1;
9. get the length of the enlarged side to be 38±1.
