Candidate's Strength
Majority of the candidates were able to:
- state the differences between freehold and leasehold land tenure systems;
- give reasons why agriculture has not been fully mechanized in West Africa;
- differentiate between a forest and a pasture;
- list pasture management practices in West Africa;
- enumerate the characteristics of sedimentary rocks;
- list the farm structures used in storing harvested crops;
- mention the effects of lice in poultry production;
- explain ornamental plants as well as the maintenance practices carried out on it;
- discuss Newcastle disease in question 5(a).
- state the functions of the liver and kidney in farm animals;
- explain agricultural credit, farm valuation and cash record;
- mention the uses of poultry eggs to humans.
