AAIM: To investigate how current divides between two resistors connected in parallel.
- Connect the circuit as shown in Fig. 2.
- Ask the supervisor to check the circuit connection.
- Copy Table 2 into your answer booklet.

- Set the power supply to 0 V.
- Close switch S2.
- Adjust the power supply to 2 V as shown in Table 2.
- Read and record the milli-ammeters readings, I1(mA), I2(mA) and I3(mA) in
Table 2.
- Open switch S2.
- Repeat steps (e) to (h) for other values of Vs(V) as shown in Table 2.
- Complete Table 2.
- Plot a graph of Vs (V) on the vertical axis against I3(mA) on the horizontal
axis.
- Determine the slope of the graph in step (k).
(m) Comment on the value obtained in step (l) with the value of R3.
