Candidates' weaknesses in this examination were outlined by Chief Examiners as
follows:
Minor grammatical mistakes.
Inadequate reference to prescribed literature texts.
Wrong choice of words.
Candidates writing this examination are, in view of the above weaknesses, urged to
widen their horizon by familiarizing themselves with the prescribed literature texts listed
in the examination syllabus. Also, they should extend their reading culture to novels;
magazines and journals written by modem Arabic scholars so as to equip themselves with
contemporary Arabic vocabulary.
