Candidate's Weakness
The weaknesses of candidates were observed in the following areas:
(i) Writing of irrelevancies;
(ii) Display of shallow knowledge of the set texts;
(iii) Inadvertent violation of rubrics;
(iv) Commission of grammatical mistakes.
4. SUGGESTED REMEDIES:
To address the reported weaknesses, the Chief Examiner recommended the following:
- Candidates must try to read the instructions very well so as to adequately understand the demands of the questions before attempting them;
- Candidates should learn and master the correct spellings of the vocabulary;
- Candidates should procure the prescribed texts for Arabic Literature;
- Conscious efforts should be made by candidates to write legibly in Arabic;
