The standard of the paper was high and comparable with those of previous years. The rubrics were clear, the questions were unambiguous and within the scope of the syllabus. The marking scheme was exhaustive and flexible.
The performance of candidates was slightly poorer than that of the previous year with a mean score of 21 and standard deviation of 08.84 compared with a mean score 22 a standard deviation of 09.80 for Nov/Dec 2008.
