General Comments

The questions were of standard which made the quality of the paper high. The paper compared favourably well with those of previous years. The marking scheme was exhaustive and rubrics were clear
The performance of the candidates was better than that of the previous year with a raw mean score of 26 and standard deviation of 12.61 this year compared to a raw mean score of 23 and a standard deviation of 11.22 for the November/December 2015 WASSCE. The total population of candidates that sat for this examination was 157,060.
