The observed weaknesses of the candidates this year include:
- poor spelling of some technical terms, e.g. umblical for umbilical, falopian for fallopian, rain guage for rain gauge;
- inability to correspond functions of labelled parts with the labelled parts;
- inability to follow the instructions in question 4
(a). Candidates used (+) and (-) as against the sign (?) they were requested to use.
The following remedies were suggested to overcome the weaknesses:
- candidates should study past questions and Chief Examiner’s Report;
- candidates should read instructions carefully before attempting questions;
- candidates should study the spellings of technical terms properly.
