Candidate's Strength
The observed strengths of the candidates include:
- writing answers neatly and clearly;
- ability to answer the three questions required of them;
- ability to follow the instructions of the questions;
- ruling guidelines with pencil
- ability to name the organisms from which specimens C (Gill of fish), D (Lung of small mammal) and E (Dicotyledonous leaf) are obtained in question 2 (a);
- ability to identify similarities between specimens;
- ability to state the function common to specimens C (Gill of fish), D (Lung of small mammal) and E (Dicotyledonous leaf) in question 2 (a) (ii);
- a few candidates could give good drawings of specimens C (Gill of fish) and K (Pride of Barbados flower) in questions 2 (c) and 4 (f);
- ability to name the floral parts of specimen K (Pride of Barbados flower) in question 4(a) (i);
- ability to give the theoretical reason for naming the sex of specimen K (Pride of Barbados flower) in question 4(b) (ii).
