General comments on the paper as a whole

The paper compared favourably well with those of previous years. The standard was good marking scheme was exhaustive and rubrics were clear.

The performance of the candidates was worse than that of the previous year with a raw mean score of 26 and standard deviation of 08.36 this year when compared to a raw mean score of 32 and standard deviation of 10.86 for the WASSCE (PC2) 2018. The total population of candidates that sat this examination was 74,379.
