(b) Difference between a partition wall and a party wall
A partition wall is the wall which divides a building into different rooms or apartments while a party wall is the wall which separates two adjoining buildings of two different owners.
(c) Suitable hinges for each type of door
- Flush door: butt hinge, parliament hinge.
- Matchboarded door: tee hinge, strap hinge; garnet hinge.
- Garage metal door: hook and band (or eye) hinge.
(d) Functions of a window sill:
- it sheds-off water from the window;
- it provides attractive finish to the window.
