The following weaknesses were observed from candidates’ work:

1. inability to make the right choice of pencil for drawing;
2. poor skill in dimensioning;
3. poor lettering skill;
4. inability to construct semi circular arches;
5. use of blunt pencil.

To overcome these weaknesses, candidates should be taught on:

1. various grades of pencil available and their specific uses;
2. the proper methods of dimensioning building drawing
3. the various lettering styles used in drawing;
4. construction of lines, angles, circles, arcs, polygon etc.

n addition, candidates should be given ample building drawing assignments in order to enhance their flexibility in drawing
