- state the methods of transporting concrete mix on site.
However, majority of them failed to use annotated sketch(es) to illustrate the methods of checking the accuracy of setting out a rectangular building.
The expected response to question 1 is as given below:
- Explanation of concreting terms
- Batching: Is the method of measuring concrete materials either by volume or weight. OR The method of measuring the constituent (concrete) materials either by volume or by weight.
- Water-cement ratio: Weight of water to that of cement in a particular mix. OR Proportion of water by weight to the proportion of cement by weight, that is added to a concrete mix.
- Curing: Is the process of keeping a placed mix damp to enable it attain the desired strength.
