- However, majority of them failed to sketch an elevational view of a double-casement window and label the following:
- stile;
- top rail.

3(a) (i) Geometrical stair definition:
it is a stair constructed with threads that are tapered on plan and which are arranged around a central support.
- Materials used for stair construction:
- stone;
- timber;
- reinforced concrete;
- sandcrete block or brick;
- steel.
(b) Functions of a window:
- to allow free ventilation into the building;
- to allow illumination into the building that is borrowed light;
- to allow the occupant of the building to view from the outside;
- to allow occupant to view outside;
- for aesthetic purpose.
