General Comments

The standard of the paper was high, and compared favourably with those of the   previous years. The questions were within the scope of the examination syllabus. It was reported that candidates’ performance was not satisfactory as majority of them performed below average.
The raw mean score of 24.0 and standard deviation of 15.59 indicated that the performance of the candidates was worse than WASSCE FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES 2017 with a raw mean score of 30.0 and standard deviation of 17.72. A total of 5,559 candidates sat the paper.
