The standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of previous years. The rubrics were clear, concise and unambiguous. The questions were well structured and within the scope of the examination syllabus. The marking scheme was detailed, clear and fair to all candidates.
The raw mean score of 30 and standard deviation of 13.89 indicated that the performance of the candidates was poorer than that of May/June 2011 WASSCE with a raw mean score of 32 and standard deviation of 18.39.
