General Comments

The standard of the paper was high, and of the same standard as the previous year. The questions were within the scope of the examination syllabus. The rubrics and instructions to the candidates were clear, concise and unambiguous. The marking scheme was detailed and fair to all candidates.

The raw mean score of 39.0 and standard deviation of 14.25 showed that the performance of the candidates is worse when compared to Nov. / Dec. 2015, with raw mean score of 42. 0 and standard deviation of 13.87. A total of 78,015 candidates sat the paper..
