General Comments

The standard of the paper was high, and compared favourably with those of the previous years. It was reported that all the topics of the examination syllabus were covered. The rubrics were clear and unambiguous, such that the responses of the candidates correspond with the expected answers.

The raw mean score of 30.0 and standard deviation of 17.72 indicated that the performance of the candidates was better than WASSCE FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES 2016, with a raw mean score of 27.0 and standard deviation of 15.0. 63,435 candidates sat for the paper.
