Observation

This was another popular question. A large number of candidates performed very well in this question especially in the A part. However, a few candidates failed to explain in details the reasons why inspection of vehicle documents is necessary. They only highlighted the points thereby getting low scores for mere mentioning. The candidates were expected to provide some of the following points to the question:

1. Definition of Traffic Regulations: Traffic regulation is a set of rules, guidelines and principles that direct and control vehicular traffic and other road users for effective road use and avoidance of accidents.

3. To ensure validity of such documents.
4. To discourage vehicle theft.
5. To have a better information about holders of drivers’ license/permit.
6. To ascertain the road worthiness of vehicles.
7. To ensure safety of lives and properties.
8. To ascertain and ensure sanity of road users.
9. To ascertain proof of ownership of vehicle(s).
10. To ensure payments of approved dues by road users.
