(c). State three points that affect the depth of seam allowance.
(d). With the aid of a diagram show the first stage in the making of an open seam.
The term seam was explained correctly by most of the candidates. The points that determine the choice of a seam was also well attempted. In 2 (b), the general rules for working seams were correctly stated. 2 (c) on points that affect the depth of seam was not correctly answered. Many candidates did not draw the diagram showing the first stage in the making of an open seam.
