Candidate's Weakness
Some of the weaknesses observed in the candidates’ scripts are:
-           Insufficient knowledge of the subject:  Most of the candidates did not have good understanding and knowledge of the subject.   As a result, they could not satisfactorily attempt the questions that need them to apply their knowledge of commerce.
      -           Many candidates write abbreviations of some wards. Other use phrases to answer question when they are expected to make a complete sentence.
      -           Few candidates attempted the question on calculation and the performance was not encouraging.
Suggested Remedies
- The candidates should be encouraged to study standard and recommended text books on commerce in their preparation for the examination.

- The teachers should endeavour to give notes to the students and do not allow them rely on short notes on the subject.

Teachers should also expose students to calculation questions.
