Candidates’ were expected to

• State the use each of the makeup cosmetics.

Majority of the candidates preformed excellently well in questions 4(b, c & d) and the question was widely attempted by the candidates. However, few of the candidates were unable to state some points on conditions that determine skin analysis for plain facials .such  as:  skin type, skin colour and fine lines.
The expected answered are

(a) CONDITION FOR DETERMINING SKIN ANALYSIS FOR PLIAN FACIALS.

• Skin type
• Broken capillaries
• Skin colour
• Skin texture is soft, velvety harsh and rough
• Fine lines

(b) BENEFITS OF SKIN ANALYSIS

• The choice of cream to be used in massage
• The amount of pressure to use in massage movements
• The areas that need extra attention
• If muscle oil is needed around the eyes and neck
• The type of astringent to use
• If special treatment is required

(c) CAUSES OF FACIAL DEFECT

• Poor nourishment/diet
• Poor maintenance culture
• Skin problems
• Use of cosmetics
• Poor  personal hygiene
