 The candidate is required to write a formal letter to seek for a job in a firm  that placed an advert for  the position of a secretary.
  Most of the candidates that attempted this  question did fairly well but most of them could not write up to the required  number of words. 
(b)    Ẹde  ne Ẹwuare nogieva rri ọba.                                               
  Candidates  were expected to write a narrative essay on the topic:The Day Oba Ewuare (II) was crowned king. Very few  candidates attempted this question and their performance was poor
(d)   Esuku  Arrọba ọ ma. sẹ  ọghe ọmwa kekan.
  An argumentative essay on the topic: Public schools are better than Private  schools.
  Few candidates  attempted this question and based on the strength and depth of their arguments      
  their scores were below average.
(e)  Ẹdo ne ẹvbo  mwẹ .
  A descriptive essay on the topic: The Ẹdo  people. The  few candidates that attempted this
  question  performed fairly.
(ẹ)    A ma mie ẹsọn  a i mie  uwa.
  This is an expository essay on the topic: No pain no Gain.  
  Candidates were  expected to write on how hard work and dedication to whatever
  one does can pay  off positively in the long run. Candidates were expected to write a story to  illustrate the topic. No candidate attempted this question.
