CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

The weaknesses of the candidates as noted in the Chief Examiner’s report were in the following areas:

1. inability to spell words properly;
2. poor knowledge of Efịk tones; and
3. poor knowledge of Efịk proverbs.

SUGGESTED REMEDIES

1. Students should learn how to spell words properly.
2. Teachers should ensure that the students are properly exposed to Efịk proverbs.
3. Teachers should always give the students enough exercises on Efịk tones.

Teachers should also expose the students to the approved Efịk orthography
