Candidates' Weakness

The Chief Examiner reported that majority of the few candidates that attempted questions which are of higher levels of thinking did not respond well. That is, majority found it difficult to apply principles and analyze facts in attempt to solve questions.

(b) Suggested Remedy

To overcome these weaknesses, it was suggested in the report that candidates should be made to understand the:

• how to interpret ideas;
• analyze circuits and concept-based items.
