This is a debate in which the candidate was required to argue for or against the proposition that today’s children should not be blamed for not taking education seriously. At least, three well developed arguments were expected. Although many candidates used the appropriate vocatives at the beginning of their essays, speech techniques were generally lacking. Most of the arguments presented were not well developed and some conclusions did not support the candidates’ stand.
