General Comments

The paper was of high quality and compared favourably with those of the previous years. The rubrics were clear and unambiguous. The marking scheme was well structured, clear and adequate.
The raw mean score of 23 and standard deviation of 8.60 indicated that the performance of the candidates was better than WASSCE for school candidates 2016, with a mean score of 21 and standard deviation of 9.38 . 80,071 candidates sat the paper.
