Candidates' Weakness
The Chief Examiner reported that Candidates’’ attempt on these areas were weak and not encouraging. The areas are:
- Logarithm
- Partial Fractions
- Integration
- Polynomial (Cubic Equation)
- Binomial Expansion
- Vectors
- Moments and Resolution of Forces
- Failure to follow rubrics

SUGGESTED REMEDIES
The Chief Examiner suggested that the following remedies should be put in place:
- Teachers are encouraged to the areas where Candidates’ are weak by laying emphasis and giving of assignments and class work.
- Candidates’ should always study and understand the requirements of a particular question before solving.
- Qualified and capable Further Mathematics Teachers should be engaged in Schools.
- Occasional training and retraining should be put in place by Schools and Governments.
