Candidates' Weakness

 

The candidates’ were weak in their responses to questions 1, 2b 3a, 4c and 5 which were on body measurements, groups of permanent stitches, differences between pairs of words, reasons why garment designing is important to an individual and methods of creating designs.


(i)To overcome these weaknesses, teachers should be dedicated to their work.

(ii)Students should cultivate reading habit.

(iii)Teachers should give students assignments on garment making terms to improve their vocabulary.

(iv)Teachers should ensure they do some demonstrations in the classroom.

(v)They should do a lot of sketching on the board and give the students a lot of homework.

Teachers should attend workshop in order to update their knowledge.
