Observation
Only few candidates attempted question 3(a) and their performance was poor. Methods for identifying fabrics include appearance, handling, feeling, flame test etc. Majority of the candidates could not list the fabrics in 3(b) and those who attempted, performed poorly. They are expected to write calico, flannel, linen, blazer etc. Few candidates that attempted 3(c) performed fairly well. The advantages of cotton fabrics include hard wearing, durability, strong, cool to wear, etc.
