The candidates were required to
2a. State common machine faults that could occur when sewing
b.   State the uses of bodkin, emery bag, ironing board, magnet, pinking shears, seam ripper and stiletto
c. Mention areas on a garment where darts can be made
The uses of sewing tools in question 2a were properly answered. In 2b, the candidates wrote different garments like skirts, blouse, trouser etc instead of garment areas like waist, under bust, neckline, wrist etc. so did not get good marks. Question 2c was well answered.
