These included:
(1) Listing of points
Many candidates only identified the points but did not explain them. This seemed to be the side effect of using pamphlets ‘key points’. To over come this problem, candidates should read relevant and detailed textbooks.
(2) Irrelevant Answers
Some unserious candidates selected questions from other West African countries instead of questions from the section on Nigerian History. Candidates could avert this shortcoming if they pay attention and obey the rubrics of the paper.
(3) Inability to express themselves
Many candidates lacked the language to express themselves. They needed to improve themselves in their usage of English language so as to articulate their ideas intelligently on paper during examination. |
