Most candidates defined management  well. However, those of them who used
the four steps of management process  to answer the question were expectedto
list the steps sequentially to be able  to earn the maximum mark.
                     Instead of factors that affect time and  energy, some wrote principles of time
                      and energy.
                    Some candidates wrote what are  expected time plan, instead of listing the
                      activities, estimated time for each  activity and comparing estimated and actual
                      time.
                    The required  answers to the questions are as follows:
                     (a) Definition  of Management
              
              Management  is the process of planning, organizing implementing and evaluating/using the  available resources to achieve family goals and meet family needs.
                    (b) Factors  which effect time and energy management                    
                    
                      
                        - Arrangement  of work area using work simplification techniques.
- Effective  use of suitable labour saving devices
- Using  the correct and efficient equipment for the job.
- The  attitude of the worker
- The  state of health of the worker
- The  outfit (clothes and foot wear) of the worker
- The  prevailing weather conditions
- Adequate lighting and ventilation
- Effective  use of time plan.

                      - List  all the activities to be done in a given period
- Estimate  the amount of time that will be used to perform each activity.
- Compare  the total estimated time with the allotted time and do necessary adjustment.
