The  major weakness of the candidates as observed by examiners in this paper was  their lack of good command of English Language.   Apart from this, few candidates still avoided questions four (4) and  five (5) which were Arabic related and quotation inclined respectively.  It is therefore suggested that more emphasis  should be laid on Arabic as a method of teaching selected chapters of the  Qur’an and ahadith in the classroom. However,  conscious improvement of candidates’ expression in English Language would also  aid their performance in Islamic Studies.
