The standard of the paper is consistent with expectation. It is of high quality and tested both the cognitive and practical aspects of mining.
However, the performance of the candidates is generally poor. This may be due to lack of qualified teachers as there are few mining engineers or people with mining qualifications in the country.
The candidates have performed badly compared to previous years.
