The following weaknesses were obvious among most of the candidates:

(1) Poor senses of rhythm as candidates’ responses were not in agreement with the dictated rhythm.

(2) Poor aural perception.

(3) Weak music notation was a common deficiency among the candidates.

Many of the candidates could not notate correctly.
