Candidates’ performance in this question was excellent. The question required candidates to listen to a chord progression consisting of 8 chords in the key of F major and then identify the chord used in the progression. The question was popular among the candidates and most of the candidates that attempted could distinguish between chords in root position and their inversion, thereby earning most of the mark allotted to the question. Candidates respond thus:
