Candidates' Weakness

Candidates’ weakness as reflected in their work show that practical oriented essay questions posed serious problems to the candidates. The candidates are not familiar with the basic practical concepts in photography for example questions 2, 5 and 6 was on pin-hole camera, digital photography and Twin lens camera respectively are all best experienced.

    SUGGESTED REMEDIES TO OVERCOME CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

1. Visits to photography studios for practical teaching to balance the theoretical class/teachers should be more practical when teaching the subject.


2. Qualified teachers should be employed to teach the candidates.


3. Recommended textbook should be made available for use in schools.


4. Candidates should read and practice what they have read.
