This question was attempted by many candidates and the candidates’ performance was fair. In part (a) candidates could not state effects of exercise on the heart. Candidates wrote exercise makes blood to circulate, exercise stops the heart from working. It aids blood clotting, it helps the heart to have diseases.
In part (b) few candidates could not state values of recreation to an individual, candidates wrote it is voluntary, it is non-survival, it is constructive.

- increases stroke volume/amount of blood;

- helps in social interaction of the individual.
