The candidates’ weaknesses included their inability to:
- Demonstrate exposure to practical activities during class work;
- describe the ‘set’ position in athletics;
- describe the running technique in middle distance races;
- describe delivery service in table tennis game;
- describe somersault in gymnastic;
- explain the scoring system in tennis game.
The following remedies were suggested to overcome the weaknesses:
- Practical should be introduced to students of Physical Education;
- Teachers should adhere to the use of syllabus strictly when teaching, with demonstration of the skills during practical periods.
