The paper compared favourably with those of the previous years in terms of standard and the demands of the questions. The questions were concise unambiguous and had a good spread. The questions were expressed in simple and comprehensible language. The rubrics were clear and the time allocated was very adequate. The marking scheme was detailed and generous.
The performance of the candidates was lower than that of the previous year. The candidature of 636,924 had a raw mean score of 13 and a standard deviation of 08.77 as against a raw mean score of 16 and a standard deviation of 08.83 in the May/June 2012 WASSCE with a population of 624,645.
