Weakness and Remedies

Candidates’ weaknesses were seen in their inability to:
                        -           explain the terms in relation to a bill of quantities;
                        -           explain specification;
                        -           sketch of a direct water supply and label four of its parts;
                        -           describe how a chain wrench is used on pipe;
                        -           explain how pipe wrench should be maintained;
                        -           sketch the pipe fitting materials cross and return bend

SUGGESTED REMEDIES FOR OVERCOMING THE WEAKNESSES

It was recommended that well qualified, well trained, technical teachers should be employed to teach the subjects in schools and it should be ensured that every aspect of the syllabus is taught.
