Some of the weaknesses observed in the candidates’ scripts were:
- Insufficient knowledge of the subject matter as the candidates could not satisfactorily attempt question on store management and importance of store management.
- Poorly use of English Language as most candidates could not explain their points in clear and correct English Grammar.
- Almost all the candidates did not attempt question seven (7) which was on stock valuation. Those who attempted it performed poorly in the question.
SUGGESTED REMEDIES
- The candidates should learn the use of English grammar to enable them express their points clearly and correctly.
- Government should endeavour to recruit and train qualified teachers with qualification in Business Education as this is a new subject.
- Teachers should thoroughly teach the candidates the aspect of Stock Valuation
- Candidates should study standard text books as recommended by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in preparing for the examination rather than answering questions with residual knowledge.
