(1) Some candidates were able to draw objects in good forms and proportion. This resulted in accurate representation of objects and figure.
(2) Graded tones were used to bring out the forms of the objects, indicate contrasts between shapes and forms and also to indicate the source of light.
(3) Candidates situated the objects in an appropriate context with a proper representation of the background. The baseline was also properly depicted, giving balance and stability to the picture.
(4) Some candidates made proper and judicious use of space by centrally positioning their compositions in the available space.
