Candidates’ Weaknesses
Candidates’ weaknesses are as follows:
- negligence of the necessary pep to enhance the design as required;
- poor finishing;
- poor construction of letters;
- half-finished work, due to not knowing what to do.
SUGGESTED REMEDIES TO OVERCOME CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES
The weaknesses highlighted are better overcome through:
- Candidates should endeavour to read to understand the various principles and elements of art to enable them answer questions effectively;
- candidates must pay attention to details as finishing is an important aspect of design/construction of letters;
- candidates should pay attention to instructions;
- field trips should be made by schools to expose the candidates to the recent trends in art;
- art teachers should continue to drill the candidates until they grasp art as if it were a part of them.
- More art teachers should be recruited to teach the candidates.
