Many candidates’ were unable to:

            -           interpret the drawings;
-           use the working tools and equipment correctly;
-           prepare the materials to the given specifications.

To overcome these weaknesses, students should be taught on:

-           how to interpret the working drawings;
-           how to use working tools and equipment;
-           the need to prepare materials to the given specifications

In addition, students should be made to construct useful domestic items during their workshop practices and made them to visit standard woodwork shops and sites.
