Select one of the sketches in Question 1 and to a scale of 1:2, draw in the
First Angle Orthographic projection, the:
- front elevation;
- end elevation
- sectional front elevation.

Few of the candidates did very well in this question. They were able to show:
- all members – size, shape and location;
- methods for fixing the members.
However, none of the candidates indicated the cutting plane.
Candidates’ drawings were expected to show the three views (front, end and
sectional end elevations) on the vertical plane with the cutting plane indicated
on the end view |
