Candidates were able to:

  • name the soil type illustrated by diagram A (clay soil);
  • know that water holding capacity would be higher in soil sample A (clay soil);
  • identify the forms of storage structures illustrated by diagrams II (silo) and III (barn);
  • name the most suitable structures for commercial storage of cereal crops (silo) and preservation of fish (rafter);
  • list the crops that will be planted in the spaces marked I to VIII in the 4-year crop rotation plan;
  • give the benefits of crop rotation;
  • calculate the number of cassava cuttings that would be required to plant one hectare.
