SUMMARY OF CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

            The following weaknesses were observed from the candidates’ works:

-           Failure to dimension floor plan and sectional detail drawing.
            -           Poor knowledge and skill of geometric construction.
            -           Inability to produce the drawings to scale.

            To overcome these weaknesses, candidates should be taught on the:

            -           various scales used in building construction;
            -           proper methods of dimensioning building drawings;
            -           rudiments of technical or architectural drawings.
           
In addition, candidates should be given ample building drawing assignments in order to enhance their flexibility in drawing.
