The stanza was taken from the book Wakokin Hausa (Written poetry) and the candidates were required to identify the song from which the stanza was culled, the theme of the song and to give the meaning of the underlined word.  Thus: An ciro wannan baiti ne daga Wakar Mu Sha Falala ta Sarkin Zazzau Aliyu Dansidi.  Jigon wakar shi ne gargadi/wa’azi/fadakarwa.  Ta gama na nufin ni ’ima ta hade kowa da kowa.

Very few candidates attempted the question and their performance was not encouraging.
